Spring 2
Our new curriculum topic, “What’s Outside?”, invites children to explore the wonderful world beyond the classroom door. Throughout this exciting theme, pupils will learn about plants and how they grow, including planting and caring for their very own bean plants. They will observe changes over time and discover what plants need to stay healthy.
Our learning will be enriched through much-loved stories such as Jack and the Beanstalk and The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. These engaging texts will help children explore themes of growth, change, and healthy eating.
As part of the topic, we will also learn about healthy foods and why they are important for our bodies. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and outdoor exploration, children will develop curiosity about the natural world and build a strong foundation for understanding how living things grow and thrive.
