Is the fruit available in Kolkata the same as the fruit here?

In Kolkata you can get fruit like apples, bananas and oranges. However, in Kolkata it is also very easy to find fruit like mangoes, lychee and pomegranates. If you look carefully at the photo you will see that the fruit is actually laid out on the ground for people to buy, something we don't see in the UK.
